FCA would like to welcome Dr Matshidiso Moeti as the new Director of the World Health Organization's office in Africa ('AFRO').
During her leadership in the Ministry of Health in Botswana, the country was among the first in the world to introduce a tobacco control law.
More recent progress in Botswanan tobacco control, including introduction of a 30-percent tobacco levy and preparation of FCTC-compliant legislation, builds on her stewardship at the ministry.
