Media highlights FCA's letter to Indian Government on package warnings

Excerpt quoting FCA Director Laurent HuberFCA's letter of support urging the Indian Government to resist tobacco industry lobbying against new packaging rules has been highlighted in the Indian media.

The Mail Online India quoted FCA Director from the letter: "We recommend that the tobacco industry simply be ignored ... if countries like Nepal, Thailand and Uruguay can implement similar size warnings (80-90%), there is no reason why India cannot."

In October 2014, the government announced that warnings would have to cover at least 85 percent of the surface of tobacco packages as of 1 April 2015.
