People have died from tobacco-related diseases since the opening of the first FCTC working group on 28 October 1999.

World No Tobacco Day 2013
FCA members globally mark World No Tobacco Day with many activities. They also responded to the tobacco industry's attempt to subvert the Day's theme: Ban tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship.
